I will make two comments:

1) God's jealousy demonstrates His perfect love. He loves us completely and desires our love. To love Him in return ought to be our compelling impulse "because He first loved us". Unfortunately our response has been distorted by sin. We withdraw from God's love and become accusatory when God jealously points out His rightful claim on our lives and hearts. God is also jealous of our worship, and He has created us to find our greatest joy in praising what is truly praiseworthy- Himself! John Piper has developed this theme with his ministry, desiringGod.org.

2) Regarding lesson 337, "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us....If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." 1 John 1:8, 10 ESVMelanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15075592649446079035noreply@blogger.com
