Well, not space, exactly. More like a hard drive.
Ande bought an external hard drive last week. One of the first things he did was to move all of his iTunes stuff and our pictures from the laptop to the hard drive. Then he deleted all of the music and pics off of the computer.
Now our computer is quite a bit faster, which is awesome. What's not so awesome? The fact that the new hard drive has since died and now we can't get anything off of it.
I spent like 30 minutes (maybe more, I don't remember) on hold this morning to talk to the data recovery people at the manufacturer. Of course they can most likely retrieve our data. For a fee. An $800 fee. WHAT THE HECK?!?
"Sorry, DATA is not covered by warranty. Even if the hard drive was only purchased last week." This is what I was told.
Fortunately we know a guy who's on the "Geek Squad" at Best Buy who might be able to help us out. I'm really hoping so. I mean, they're only pictures, it could be a LOT worse, but still. I'm still super disappointed.
Needless to say, I don't think I will be trusting my pics to a hard drive again anytime soon.
On a lighter note, I lost 2 pounds last week, AND Nate (you know, Gwyneth's dad) actually commented on my FB page! I feel almost famous. LOL

I'm so proud of you for continuing to work hard, Julie! I know it is difficult. But so rewarding!
That really stinks about the pictures and stuff! I just backed up my photos to a hard drive, and to DVD's but I am afraid to take them off the computer still!! NOW I'm REALLY scared!! Problem is I can't add new picts cause my computer is too full! Ack! Problems all around!
hopefully your geek squad friend can help get them...
"only pictures" but still, pictures are what help our memory banks (especially us old folks...)
AWESOME on the weight loss, keep it up! You ARE almost famous =)
I, too, hope we can grab a few minutes or so together this summer in MI... we'll be in touch...
