25 Things

I got tagged by Beck to do a 25 Random Things list...I just want you to know I am an incredibly boring person, so this list will probably bore you to tears.

You have been warned...
  1. I have a propensity to remember useless information.
  2. My childhood nickname was "Pooper".
  3. I still remember songs I learned at school in 5th grade.
  4. My parents divorced when I was about 9 years old.
  5. When I was a freshman in High School, I played a bass drum in marching band.
  6. I could fit inside the case for the above-mentioned drum.
  7. I gave my life to the Lord when I was 28.
  8. I totaled my first car approximately 1 month after I got it.
  9. I had to spend most of the money I received at my graduation open house to fix it.
  10. I moved to Columbus Ohio when I was 17.
  11. In one 15 month period, I moved 7 times.
  12. When I was in 4th grade, my very best friend moved to Texas. I've never seen her again.
  13. I love bargain hunting.
  14. I hate getting dirty.
  15. I started "working" (babysitting) when I was 12.
  16. Some days I don't get out of my pj's. (Oh come on - I know I'm not the only one)
  17. I love looking at cookbooks, but I really don't like to cook.
  18. When I was a kid, I loved Brussels Sprouts. Now I can't stand them.
  19. We don't have a TV.
  20. I graduated in the top 20 of my class.
  21. Until recently, I only had contact with one person I went to school with.
  22. When I got pregnant with my son, I didn't show until I was about 5 months. With The Jib, I think I was showing BEFORE I got pregnant. *sigh*
  23. I have "met" some really great women since I started blogging.
  24. I probably spend way too much time online.
  25. I love problem solving.

So there you have it. I know, I know - boring. I warned you!

I just had a revelation...

The next time your kids are driving you up a wall with their antics - remember, someday we will look at our grandchildren lovingly...

and laugh our fool heads off when they are doing the same stuff their parents once did to drive us NUTS.

(well, if we survive our kids' childhoods, that is)

I looked it up, and

Puckey was 34 1/2 inches tall and weighed 26lbs when she was 2. The Jib is 36 1/2 inches tall, and just over 30lbs. She's a monster!

And, yes, Amanda - she DOES get her height from me. I just didn't like being so tall, so I got my legs shortened when I was younger. LOL

Monday, February 2, 2009

My sweet little Jib is taller than the average 3 year old. And she just turned two today. WNBA here we come! LOL

Now I need to find Puckey's measurements from her two year check-up and see how she measured up. (Hey, I used to remember all that stuff, but when you get to #4 & #5, it's hard to keep track)

Happy Birthday

To my two favorite little groundhogs...

Ande and Jib October 2008

May the groundhog see his shadow, thus giving you 6 more weeks of birthday!
