Tuesday Tip O' the Day

Several years ago, Ande's grandma had brought out lots of stuff for the kids/grandkids to go through to see if they wanted any of it.

I LOVE "old school" stuff, so when I saw this book, I had to have it.

This edition was printed sometime in 1959. It's got a lot of great tips in it, as well as some stuff that just makes me laugh out loud. I recently decided that I should start sharing some of these tips, hence the "Tuesday Tip O' the Day". I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Today's tip:

"Plastic hangers are very ornamental and available in a variety of colors to match closet accessories. Designed functionally, with rounded corners, they are easy on your clothes. So easy to keep clean - just wipe with damp cloth."

WHAT? WHO ON EARTH CLEANS THEIR HANGERS???

Tune in next Tuesday for another tip.

Awesome! I LOVE helpful tips! I will start calling you Heloise (but you hair do is MUCH more fetching then hers). Hehe. I've always wanted to do a Helpful Hints but mine will be stupid and pointless especially compared to cleaning your hangers! How I lived this long w/out that helpful advice? And is it telling me I should decorate my living room in colorful hangers? Hmmmmmm
On another weird note I work for a bank and we gave out weird books and stuff like that and on occasion I get an old person asking for our "tax" book we handed out in 1976 and wondered if there is a new version. So entertaining!

I love old books like this too! Thanks for starting your weekly tip blog.

BTW, I just love the naked hiney picture on your side bar. That could so be my granddaughter!

Oh how fun Julie!

I would say that the best 'cleanings' that my hangers ever get is when I pull the clothes off of them. The swiping action is sure to take some of that dirt off, right?

You mean you don't clean your hangers? LOL...me neither.

I probably won't be accessorizing my things in my closet and matching hanger colors either. At this point in the game, clothes are very lucky to make it on any hanger.

Thanks for the tip though. Some day when I wake up feeling super organized and on top of my game, I will certainly go back to this tip and make sure that I not only accessorize, but clean each hanger individually! :)
